A few weeks ago I was absolutely delighted to make the GB FITASC team in the Ladies team with my Dad who made the Senior team, and yesterday we flew to Italy to compete in the European Championships.
Today we headed to the ground to get our bearings, shot a few practice rounds and then went to the Italian city of Todi for the opening ceremony. This was by far the best opening ceremony I have ever attended, we paraded through the city eventually ending up in the town square. I was honoured to carry the GB flag as I was a GB new cap. This was an honour I also had in the England team last year, but the experience never gets old! To shoot in the same team as my dad is also an incredible experience, I’m very proud to announce he has been named as captain for this event, and I look forward to competing under his captaincy!!
For now, we are preparing for the competition which starts on Thursday. In international FITASC competitions we shoot 50 a day, so we are shooting afternoon tomorrow, and then morning on Friday, with the same pattern at the weekend.
I’ll be providing daily updates on the competition and what it’s like competing at an International FITASC Event on the West Country Guns blog, so stay tuned! On another note, the phenomenal combination that I shoot, Krieghoff and Hull Cartridge, can both be bought at West Country Guns. I also must thank Vario hearing and Laporte CPC for all the support and help they give me. I look forward to representing you to the best of my ability this week.
